Staff at one of Mid Wales and Shropshire’s leading estate agents have raised over £250 for the Severn Hospice in memory of a colleague.
The team at Morris, Marshall and Poole’s offices in Mid Wales and Shropshire dressed up in all things Christmassy back in December to raise the cash and handed it over last week to Chris Bailey, manager of the hospice’s Welshpool shop.
“Members of the team have been raising money for the hospice over the past year in memory of Yvonne Carroll who worked at our Newtown office and sadly passed away at the Severn Hospice after her battle against breast cancer,” said Kate Pinder of MMP.
“Before Christmas we all decided to dress up in festive fancy dress while at work and staff, customers and neighbouring businesses all chipped in to raise the money.”
Staff at the company’s offices in Newtown, Welshpool, Llanidloes, Machynlleth, Aberystwyth, Shrewsbury, Oswestry and Tywyn all took part.
