MMP partner Tony Evans looks at the Welsh Single Farm Payments Scheme and the importance of an accurate application.
Life on the farm is hard enough without bureaucracy getting in the way. Take the Welsh Basic Payment Scheme for example.
It’s a critical part of many Welsh farms but can be complicated and cumbersome to apply for, never mind finding the time to apply.
The introduction of online applications for the Welsh Basic Payment Scheme has helped simplify and improve the process somewhat.
We’d urge farmers in Wales to apply using the RPW Online system introduced by the Welsh Government.
- Completing the application online is far easier and more efficient than the paper application;
- Applying online can reduce the risk of errors
- Some errors are pointed out DURING the online application;
- You can use online messaging to keep up-to-date with the progress of applications.
Our agricultural team here at Morris, Marshall and Poole is already helping many farming clients with their online applications.
We advise and apply on their behalf to free up their time to do the important work – running the farm.
