A 19th century chapel is offering a temptation to house-buyers to live and work in an historic Welsh border town steeped in history and its own borderland castle.

The Chapel at Montgomery in Powys was, until the 1960’s, a bustling religious hub, complete with a Sunday School originally built in 1850.

Today, it stands as a home and workplace in one of Wales’ historic and sought after towns that has a wealth of history and outstanding countryside scenery and is being sold through estate agents Morris, Marshall and Poole.

Montgomery sits close to the border with Shropshire. It was once the county town of Montgomeryshire which is now in the county of Powys.

The nearest main towns are Welshpool, Newtown and Shrewsbury. The main Cambrian Railway which links to Shrewsbury and Aberystwyth is close by.
