A very big congratulations to Morris, Marshall and Poole chartered surveyor Kathryn Davies who has been named RICS Matrics Young Residential Property Surveyor of the Year.
Kathryn travelled to an awards ceremony in London over the weekend with MMP partners Andrew Turner and Rob Hudson when she was named as the UK's Young Residential Property Surveyor of the Year by Perrier award-winning Ed Byrne.
"It was an amazing night and I was very privileged to be awarded this prestigious title. It means a great deal," said Kathryn who is based at MMP's Newtown office and covers the Mid Wales and Shropshire area.
Kathryn was up against young surveyors from throughout the UK and was the only one in her category from Wales.
Speaking on the announced shortlist, RICS Wales Director, Ben Collins said: “The finalists are examples of the young talent we have in Wales who demonstrate excellence within the profession."
Andrew Turner, a partner at MMP, said the company was very proud of Kathryn. "This is a great achievement for Kathryn and we're all very proud of her becoming the UK's Residential Property Surveyor of the Year."
Morris, Marshall and Poole is one of Mid Wales and Shropshire's leading property surveyors, estate and land agents, with offices throughout Powys, Shropshire, Ceredigion and Gwynedd, including Shrewsbury, Welshpool, Oswestry, Newtown, Llanidloes, Machynlleth, Aberystwyth and Tywyn.
The awards were announced at a glittering black tie ceremony at the Marriott Grosvenor Square, London hosted by Perrier award winning, 'Mock the Week' and 'Have I got news for you' regular Ed Byrne.
