There's no substitute for the Morris, Marshall and Poole team

Staff at Morris Marshall and Poole takes sides for Montgomeryshire league match

We anticipate a bit of tension in the office today. And no, it won’t be about who’s making making the next coffee.

MMP Partner Paul Evans and Lettings Agent Bryan Jarman are avid football fanatics and are also heavily involved in the local soccer scene.

Paul is a club linesman and Vice-Chairman of Meifod FC while Bryan manages Abermule Reserves.

Unfortunately for us, both their teams are playing each other tomorrow (Saturday) in the JT Hughes Montgomeryshire League Honda Division One and so we’re having to contend with the inter team rivalry.

Luckily, Bryan deals with lettings from our Welshpool office and Paul is based at Newtown. So at least we can keep them apart - other than through email and the telephone.

Meifod currently sit seventh in the league table while Bryan's side are 11th (no pressure Bryan).

Best of luck to both teams (and boys) tomorrow who are playing at Meifod. We’re just not looking forward to Monday morning in the office. Well, it’s just a game after all.

*Remind the team the bridge on the A490 is closed Bryan. Otherwise they might not get to the game in time and we wouldn’t want Paul gloating.
