House prices are on the rise in Mid Wales and Shropshire, according to ONS

House prices in Mid Wales and Shropshire have risen over the past year by over seven per cent

House prices in Mid Wales and Shropshire have risen by over seven per cent in July, according to the latest figures from the Office of National Statistics.

The figures, revealed today, show an increase of 7.4 per cent in Wales while in the West Midlands, including Shropshire, house prices rose by 7.3 per cent in July.

This is set against London where property prices rose by 19.1 per cent.

According to the ONS, an average house price in the West Midlands is £198,00 while in Wales it is £171,000.
