At least 23 properties from throughout Mid Wales will be auctioned off next week as part of a sale with a guide value of over £2.3million.
Property ranging from a former church, seaside apartments, woodland, commercial property, stables and a country hall are among the properties being auction by property surveyors and estate agents Morris, Marshall and Poole.
“We’re anticipating a lot of interest in the auction with such a diverse range of property and land being placed for auction from throughout Powys, Gwynedd, Ceredigion,” said Andrew Turner, a partner at Morris, Marshall and Poole.
“Some of the more interesting properties are a former church at Borth, a Grade II cottage in need of refurbishment near Llanidloes, an imposing country residence with adjoining cottage near Rhayader and 13 acres of woodland near Llanbrynmair.”
The auction takes place at Welshpool Livestock Sales at Buttington Cross, Welshpool, Powys at 2pm on Thursday, 22 September.
Properties going under the hammer include:
• Former Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Borth, Ceredigion
• 2 Caebitra Hall, Sarn, Newtown, Powys
• Flats at Beach House, Barmouth, Gwynedd
• Gwardolau and Cottage (country residence), Rhayader, Powys
• Fronderw pasture (4 acres), Trefeglwys, Powys
• Cil Common Stables, Berriew, Powys
• Woodland at Coed Cae Gilbert, Llanbrynmair
“Property auctions are proving popular among buyers and sellers. Properties that rarely come to market or could prove popular are often auctioned and provide good opportunitires for those seeking such property or land as well as those selling them,” added Andrew.
